Best slogan: Brightening the world starts with you

❖ It appeals to the more personal aspect of consumerism. It sells the product on


a personal level.
❖ It feels personal to the consumer while also appearing to benefit the world as
a whole.
❖ It brings up the most well known feature of Crest which is their teeth whitening
products.
❖ This slogan could be associated with other companies.
There’s layers to fresh

❖ Layers doesn’t scream toothpaste. It would be more associated with a food


company.
❖ The slogan makes it seem like the process is long and not efficient.
❖ Some people might have negative association with ‘layers’
❖ It could trigger phobias for some people (like how some some people have a
phobia about groups of holes).
Cleaning even the things you can’t see

❖ It isn’t direct in the messaging style.


❖ It wouldn’t appeal to someone who doesn’t already know the features of the
product.
❖ It implies that our products have multiple features other companies might not
have.
Self confidence is the first step in a great smile

❖ It’s a good slogan for a visual advertisements like a tv commercial.


❖ It isn’t particularly clear which means it would most likely need to be
explained.
❖ A lot of people don’t buy toothpaste for a great smile (for a great smile most
people get braces) and toothpaste is Crests main product.
One smile goes a long way

❖ Once again this slogan doesn’t read as advertising for toothpaste.


❖ It’s to generic both inside and outside the dental care industry.
❖ Because it’s generic it by extension isn’t memorable.
