Time is the most treasurable thing on earth, it is free for everyone, however, no

one has the power to buy or sell it. A common saying about that time is that "time and
tide wait for no man”. If once precious time goes, then it goes forever and never returns;
Once gone, it is forever gone. Thus, we should appreciate the importance of time and
walk with it, because time does not stop for anyone. Most of the time, the value of time
is never felt until its gone.

Procrastination can be closely associated with time. It affects almost everyone

and the perils of procrastination are there without us realising. What does
procrastination means? It is the avoidance of completing a task and remotely related to
time management. This also conveys that the completion of certain task is purposely
ignored because of time management. The adage ‘procrastination is the thief of time
should ring a bell for everyone. Procrastination is the thief of time because it causes
delays and it inhibits our progress. Therefore, we should use every single moment of
our lives in a proper and meaningful way, without destroying the time.

What should we do to evade procrastination? Everything that we do should be

timed accordingly. We should plan judiciously as to appreciate the value of time. We
should get up at the right time, carry out our chores at it should be done. It is imperative
that our routine goes on smoothly without being postponed when it should not. This is
also important so that we are not behind others in life. If we want to do something
better in life then it is necessary to make proper commitment, dedication and full use of
time.

Furthermore, procrastination inhibits our progress. As time elapses, we miss

many things in life. Time is money, and the more we procrastinate, the more time we
need to accomplish things. This will cause the value of time being forgotten and taken
for granted. One who does not procrastinate will be more successful and respected. We
also tend to have more confidence and believe that we could accomplish almost
everything in the given time. It indirectly opens the door to fulfil our ambition.

Concisely, we should value every minute granted for us in our lives. In

other words, we should not be labelled as procrastinator because we tend to steal the
beauty of what time brings us. It is because time is an essential aspect of life for every
human being and it should be valued until the end!
