Module 2 - Reflection

Share your learning experience about descriptive statistics.

Module 2 brought back the learning activities that took place in senior high school wherein

we practiced the usage of descriptive statistics in quantitative research studies. Learning

descriptive statistics now refreshened that core memory and it allowed me to better understand

its significance and usage. The tool of descriptive statistics has always proven to be helpful due

to its nature and presentation. I realized that data gathered in tabular, numerical, and graphical

form allows us to better understand the information given. More so, the measures of central

tendency, variability, and distribution of shapes has different and reliable methods that can be

used in a wide array of data. As we did the discussion activity, I also learned that there is no “best”

method of central tendency and variation – they all have their advantages and disadvantages that

we can weigh out once we obtain our data.
