Dear Admissions Committee,

I am the principal of Foreign Language Specialized School, a school with a long tradition of
educating and encouraging many generations of successful students and community leaders. This
time of each year, I always have the pleasure in writing recommendations for the most prominent
students of the school. It is an honor to write this letter of recommendation for To Hoang Minh
Ngoc. During the last 2 years, she has shown exceptional qualities, in academic results and in the
contributions within the school and beyond.
Ngoc stood out as the most outstandingly brilliant student with an impressive academic track
record, maintaining the highest GPA in her grade for 3 years in a row. She greatly impressed me
with the position as an assistant of a research project, “The green style living”. This project and
her part in it, featured in the school magazine. She is an aspiring scientist with a bright future.
My first experience with her was in an interview for the admission scholarship of our school in
2018. Only five students made it to the final round and Ngoc made the greatest impression of
them all. She comes from a family with a special background. Ngoc matured earlier than her
peers due to the responsibility of looking after her younger siblings. Both her parents were
employed full time and Ngoc, being the oldest sibling, took care of her sisters. I remember a
heartwarming conversation with her. We discussed, at length, her passion for the right to
education, regardless of the fiscal ability of the family, race, gender or creed. Her parents worked
tirelessly to grant their children a quality education. With great appreciation for what she was
given, Ngoc decided to take action for the community. Her inspiring journey to become president
of the student council made her a role model for her female peers.
Besides being an excellent student with high academic abilities, Minh Ngoc is well known
among her peers and teachers for her compassion to help and to contribute to our school
community. With a strong English command and inspiring ideas, Ngoc was appointed to speak at
a meeting between the US Embassy and our school. Seeing the little girl standing on the grand
stage confidently and passionately presenting Vietnamese Culture with her powerful and
inspiring voice, in front of thousands of international attendees and fellow students, no word
could describe how proud she made me feel. She went beyond everyone’s expectations by
directing the ending performance with the song “Hello Vietnam'', which deeply moved the
audience. Ngoc is dearly loved and respected by all students and teachers at our school.
Minh Ngoc deserves my best endoresment for admisson to be a part of your undergraduate
program. She has great potential as a pioneer in both intellectual and personal aspects. She will
contribute a signicant impact to your campus, especially among the international student
community.
