GRAMMAR: Quantifiers – comparative and superlative forms


(1) COUNTABLE & UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS:
 Countable nouns: are nouns that we can count and they can take the –s ending of the
plural, e.g. we can say one pen, two pens, three pens…..etc; and it can take the –s of the
plural: pen -> pens
 Uncountable nouns: are nouns that we cannot count and they don’t take the –s ending
of the plural, e.g. we cannot say one water, two waters, three waters…etc; and it can’t
take the –s ending of the plural: water -> waters

and write their names on columns, walls and throw trash everywhere. Write an article of
about 80 to 100 words for the World Heritage Centre in order to raise people’s
awareness about the importance of preserving such historical sites.
