Essay 1 Reflection 1

Something that I learned from 1301 that I used for my first essay for 1302 would have to

be the organization on how the essay is supposed to go and include. Something that I learned

from another class that I can include here is the way to research and do a study on just one

subject which was something I did back in the spring 21 semester for my leadership class

essays. Something that I learned in 1301 that was not applicable for this first essay would have

to be the structure. Since in 1301 we had to follow a certain structure which is very different

from 1302’s paper. As for the second question, something that I learned from another class but

was not applicable for my essay would be writing a lab report that is different from the first

essay.

Something that I learned for this essay that I can apply for my other course could be to

do more research than what I am used to creating a paper that is about a certain topic.I don't

think that what I learned from this essay will not be applicable to my other classes since it

helped me learn how to do this certain type of research. The creation of the experiment with

outside research helped me improve my writing since when researching, looking at many

articles helps me use bigger words than what I would have done alone. It will help me approach

my future writing by being more open about certain topics that include such big words that can

help me learn more about the said topic.

When I got the responses from my group members, they did not tell me when my

strengths or weaknesses could be so that I don't know what they would be. I think that my

strength would have to be my organizational skills. As for my weakness it would have to be

confusing or having awkward sentence structure. They were kind of the same in ENGL 1301

since when doing essays, I knew how to organize the papers and my weakness then was also

making too many awkward sentences in my papers. The most challenging thing about this essay

would have to be trying to find an article that can match my agenda for this essay. To me the

least challenging would have to be putting the essay into my own words since it’s a topic that I

am familiar with and it was easy to walk about.
