JTC SAYS:
The backing track mostly uses two-note power chords, so it’s never completely clear
whether we’re in G Mixolydian (G A B C D E F) or Dorian (G A Bb C D E F). Major or
minor, it’s your choice! Michael mostly works with the Dorian sound, but note how he
often does little partial bends on the Bb notes, giving that bluesy ambiguous major/
minor sound. A lot of his licks also have a minor pentatonic (G Bb C D F) framework.
