FINAL OUPUT: PLANTING ACTIVITY

WEEK 1

DAY 1
Oct. 7, 2020
DAY 4
Oct. 10, 2020
DAY 7
Oct. 13, 2020
As part of our Final Output in NSTP-CWTS, we are
tasked to help restore and improve the community
through environmental stewardship by planting a
tree/fruit/vegetable, and fruit bearing tree is the priority.
In my case, I choose to plant a vegetable called string
beans, I choose this because it grows easily and it is
very suitable to be planted in our yard. I do monitor
everyday my plant, but here in my work I choose to take
a picture of it every three days, so I have Day 1, 4, and 7
every week. October 7, 2020, in plant growth stages, it
is the sprout, wherein seeds contain a small parcel of
nutrients that is all they need to germinate and begin
growing. In our backyard, I decided to plant my plant, I
dug, but not that deep because my father said it will
grow faster if only the digging is shallow. After I put the
bean seeds and buried the ground, I watered it a little. A
few days later, October 10, 2020, the result is gradually
visible and a small leaf is also visible. October 13, 2020,
I was suddenly surprised that my crop suddenly grew so
big, and because of this I believe in what my dad said
that it will grow faster if the planting is only superficial.
Here I saw a little bit of my bean plant, it has grown and
a lot of leaves. Because every day I visit my plant I also
see how it has progressed from seed up to now that it is
quite large.
WEEK 2

DAY 1
Oct. 14, 2020
DAY 4
Oct. 17, 2020
DAY 7
Oct. 20, 2020
October 14, 2020, I woke up in the morning and
went to my plant, because it was only a day when I took
a picture on October 13, 2020, there wasn’t much
change yet, it grew a little and a lot of leaves. What I did
was clean it, I wiped the dirt like fallen mango leaves,
then I watered it. October 17, 2020, this is the day when
the Internodes of my plant are lengthening. This is the
space between two nodes or the space between each
leaf. Again, after I took a picture of it, I watered it. And
we know the fact that watering plants are important
because water is the vital tool for plants life and
survival. It is essential in transporting nutrients and
sugars from the soil to the plants. October 20, 2020, this
is the day where I separated my plant because it will be
difficult for them to live if they are too many. What I did
was I left two bean plants so that it will live better. And
if you also notice in the picture, little by little my plant is
growing. And I also swept around it because there were
scattered mango leaves again, so that it was clean to
look around my plant.
WEEK 3

DAY 1
Oct. 21, 2020
DAY 4
Oct. 24, 2020
DAY 7
Oct. 27, 2020
October 21, 2020, by this day, the wind is very
strong in our area so I thought of putting wood on the
side of my plant to lean on or protect it from strong
winds, because if I do not put wood on its side, there is
a high chance that it may destroy or fall. October 24,
2020, since my plant could no longer cope with the
strong winds, I did not hesitate to tell my mom to buy
black plastic and put my plant here temporarily. I took
some soil in our yard and put it in my plant. Also, on this
day I am very happy because little by little something
comes out of my plant, the flower, or what we called in
Filipino "simit". October 27, 2020, a few days later, the
"simit" that my plant has grows gradually, and also my
bean plant grows bigger and bigger. And my plant has
become more fertile or beautiful compared to October
21, 2020 because the wind is no longer strong and it is
in good condition now. I also water it a little so that it
doesn't run out of water because it might die.
WEEK 4

DAY 1
Oct. 28, 2020
DAY 4
Oct. 31, 2020
DAY 7
Nov. 3, 2020
October 28, 2020, these days, the weather is still
not that good; the wind is still blowing in our area, which
is why I will not return my plant to the back of our yard.
My plant remained in black plastic until the weather
improved. October 31, 2020, the sun is up on us, but I
still can't bring my bean plant back to our yard due to
too much work at home as well as schoolwork’s. That's
why I decided to put my plant here in black plastic for
the meantime, because it is in good condition and it
continues to grow and there is no problem. November 3,
2020, the weather is good at these days and I don't have
that much work, so today I moved my bean plant back to
our yard. I dug again, not so deep and only superficial,
then I laid down my bean plant, after the transfer I
watered it. It is still in good condition and it feels good
that despite the strong wind, my bean plant is still alive.
WEEK 5

DAY 1
Nov. 4, 2020
DAY 4
Nov. 7, 2020
DAY 7
Nov. 10, 2020
November 4, 2020, a day ago, and there isn't much
changed since I moved my plant in our yard. I fixed the
fallen wood that I put in on its side as our naughty cat
touched it. The flower/"simit" of my plant has also grown
and a few flower/"simit" grows again. After I took a
picture and looked at my plant on November 4, 2020, I
visited it on November 5, 2020 and here I had a problem
because our cats touched my plant again and they were
playing with it when I saw it. I immediately went to my
plant to take care of it, and on the same day I moved my
plant to the other side. A place where it can no longer
be touched or toyed with by our cats. I also put wood on
it as a shield and for my plant to crawl. November 7,
2020, a few days later, my bean plant is crawling on the
wood I have put in and it is really feeling good to see.
November 10, 2020, my plant continues to crawl up and
it goes higher, at the same time my bean plant is also
growing. Before I took the picture, I watered it again. I
put two sticks here in preparation for Typhoon Ulysses
so that it doesn't destroy easily.
WEEK 6

DAY 1
Nov. 11, 2020
DAY 4
Nov. 14, 2020
DAY 7
Nov. 17, 2020
November 11, 2020, a day when the weather is not good
again, the upcoming Typhoon Ulysses warns and we already feel
the strong wind. In the morning, the weather is still good and I
was able to picture my plant beans properly. But when the
afternoon and evening came, it was here that the wind became
much stronger and we truly felt it, because of this I was afraid
that my plant might be damaged. On the morning of November
12, 2020, the wind was so strong that almost all the trees,
bananas and even our acacia seemed to be dancing with the
wind. I quickly went to my plant and here I found that my plant
was already blowing by the strong winds, causing me to put
wood on the side again. My dad told me not to take care of it
because it might just die due to the strong wind, but I didn't give
up on my plant and I believed that it would survive despite the
disastrous winds caused by Typhoon Ulysses. November 13,
2020, thank you Lord and my bean plant was not damaged that
much. November 14, 2020, the weather is better now, again, I
took care of my plant, I watered it first before taking a picture.
And if you notice in the picture, the crawling of my bean plant is
increasing. I also removed the wood that I put in because the
weather is fine, and hopefully no typhoon will come to our
country anymore, so that my plant can grow better and not be
damaged. A new day, the sun is up, when I woke up, I went to my
bean plant right away. November 17, 2020, my plant seems to get
bigger and bigger that makes me feel happy. And of course, my
plant keeps crawling even higher, and I think the wood I put here
is less than the size, so I thought that when it grows bigger, I will
replace the wood I put here with bigger wood so that if in case it
crawls higher there will be no problem.
WEEK 7

DAY 3
Nov. 20, 2020
DAY 7
Nov. 24, 2020
Starting this week, I have made changes to the presentation
of my documentation regarding the growth of my bean plant. This
time I came up with a bright idea, as time goes on, my plant
grows bigger and it grows more, it goes to the adult stage of
plant growth stages. That's why to see more of its development
and growth, I decided to make its documentation only 2 days for
the rest of the week. In one week, from the 1st day of the week I
will only include Day 3 and the last day, which is Day 7. In this
way the growth and change in my crop will be more evident.
November 20, 2020, after I ate my breakfast, I went to my plant, I
noticed that my bean plant has grown or even increased which is
good, it only means that it is in good condition right now. Before I
take a picture of my plant, I'll make sure its environment is clear
and clean by sweeping. November 21, 2020, I thought it was just
a normal day, when I woke up my dad told me to move my plant
because they would do something close to my plant and it might
cause damage to it. I could do nothing but to move my plant, I
thought there would be no problem, I was wrong. Today, I
finished moving my crop, digging shallow and placing the crop,
then I watered it. November 24, 2020, a few days before I
transferred my crop it turned out to be better and my plant grew
even more. You can see that there is a broom out there because
before I pictured it, I first swept to keep the area around my
plant clean as always. If you also notice in the picture, my plant
crawls even higher compared to the last one and more leaves are
growing on my bean plant as of now.
WEEK 8

DAY 3
Nov. 27, 2020
DAY 7
Dec. 1, 2020
November 27, 2020, the weather is good and the
sunshine is beautiful. When I woke up, I hurried to my
plant, when I arrived the sun was very straight. It was
hot on the body, but I put up with it just to be able to
photograph my plant. Worth it to warm up because my
plant is fine and there are no problems. These days, the
growth of my crop is remarkable. It grows more as well
as its leaves. The condition of my plant has improved
even more compared to November 24, 2020. The
pictures also show that my plant continues to grow, and
for me it is beautiful and feels good. December 1, 2020,
as usual, I always sweep around my plant so that it is
pleasant to the eye. I was even happier because my
plant grew faster if you notice in the pictures. My plant
has also raised a lot and at the same time it still
maintains its best condition. There are also more "simit"
coming out in different parts of my plant which is
delightful to behold. Its development is pretty
impressive this is because it is directly exposed to the
sun and I water it every day.
WEEK 9

DAY 3
Dec. 4, 2020
DAY 7
Dec. 8, 2020
December 4, 2020, this time I made a change, I
changed the direction of my plant, it is because it
doesn't have something to crawl in if I don't change its
direction. It will also be more difficult for my plant when
it gets too long, and the size of the wood I put in will not
be enough, that's why I made that decision. I moved its
direction to our fence, this way it spreads better. I also
added another piece of wood to support the other side.
It continues to spread on the wood and is close to
reaching our fence. The "simit" that it has are also
growing. December 8, 2020, here it is noteworthy that
the elongation / growth of my plant has reached our
fence and is spreading to the wire fences. The "simit"
that has grown, is also the reason for the increase in the
leaves of my plant. It will also be noticed in the pictures
that, at one end of my plant it curls, this is how long my
plant is. On the other hand, its end hangs from the top of
the wood.
WEEK 10

DAY 3
Dec. 11, 2020
DAY 7
Dec. 15, 2020
Before I start this last narrative report, I just want to
thank God because my crop has reached up to week 10.
I do not expect my plant to reach until now because it
has faced many trials. And one point of my care for this
plant, I just thought of replacing my plant with chili
because I am not sure if my bean plant can last up to 10
weeks. Fortunately, I supported my decision to stick to
my bean plant, and it did not disappoint me. Speaking of,
let's stop it and it might even be a drama letter hehe.
Week 10, this week is very special to me not only
because my plant reached 10 weeks, but it was also the
last time that I will be documenting this plant of mine.
Also, this week, I made the most of taking pictures, I
inserted more pictures so you can see what my plant
development has been up to for 10 weeks. December 11,
2020, you will notice that my plant is wet, this is
because I watered it first before taking a picture,
compared to the previous weeks I took a picture first
and then watered it afterwards. It is undeniable that my
plant has grown so far and this is very evident in the
pictures. It has also reached the stage called the
flowering stage, you can see in the pictures that the
flower has somewhat opened a little bit, it is still yellow
and has not yet bloomed. And there are also a few
"simit" that are growing again. As I pictured my plant, I
was very happy because its flower gradually came out
and next to it will be the fruit.
In the last 3 pictures of my Day 3, you can see that in
the very wired fence itself my plant is spreading, this is
the beauty of the decision I made. The last day that I
will take a picture of my plant, December 15, 2020. This
is the most exciting part that I want to share with you,
my bean plant has blossomed and it has also produced
bean. In total, my plant has 2 flowers and 8 fruits, but it
is not that long yet. This day I also noticed that many
"simit" grow in my plant again. I also inserted a picture
where a flower fell on my plant. It is unfortunate, but it
is ok because there are still 2 flowers left thanks God it
was not welded and fell. To wrap up all of these, happy
to feel that all my hardships in caring for my crop turned
out well. It produced 8 beans that were not that long
yet, but I am happy because in the next few days it will
grow even bigger and we can harvest it and make it as
an ingredient in cooking "pising".
