TYPES OF OPERATING SYSTEMS AND FREQUENCY OF TECHNOLOGY USE

1. Identify six different types of operating systems:

The most common types of the operating system that is used popularly are Microsoft
Windows, Linux, Apple macOS, Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS. Next you will find six
different operating systems, identify them:

The batch operating system is a very lengthy and time-saving process. To speed up the
same process, a job with the same type of requirements are combined and executed as a
group. The user of a batch operating system doesn’t have direct interaction with the
computer. Here each user has to schedule the job offline such as punch card and submit it

A multi-tasking operating system enables the people situated at a different terminal to
access a single computer system simultaneously. The CPU’s processor time is distributed

processors located in a variety of locations are used by the distributed system to provide
fast computing to users.
