Test Procedure : 24 VDC Power Supply

Tolerances :

220 VAC input : 220 VAC + 10% ; 198 VAC to 242 VAC
24 VDC output : 24 VDC + 10% ; 21.6 VDC to 26.4 VDC

1 Confirm that all the Components and Wiring inside the Cabinet are intact and well secured
2 Confirm that the Fuses are of Correct Value / Rating and are not Blown
3 Confirm that there is No Load connected to the output Terminals of the equipment
5 Connect 220 VAC / 50 Hz. to the L and N AC input Terminals using a Variac
6 Turn ON the Power Supply
7 Confirm that the AC input indicator is Glowing
8 Confirm that the DC output indicator is Glowing
9 Check output voltage at Output Terminal of power supply. The Output voltage should be 24 VDC + 10%
10 Turn OFF the Power Supply
18 Remove the AC Power from the AC input Terminals
19 Connect Battery Supply ( 24V DC ) to the + and - DC input Terminals of the power supply
20 Turn ON the Power Supply
21 Confirm that the DC input indicator is Glowing
22 Confirm that the DC output indicator is Glowing
23 Confirm that the output voltage at Output Terminals is 24 VDC + 10 %
24 Turn OFF the Power Supply
26 Connect 220 VAC / 50 Hz. to the L and N AC input Terminals using a Variac
28 With a Current Meter in Series , Connect the Rated Load to the output Terminals of the equipment
29 Turn ON the Power Supply
30 Confirm that the AC input indicator is Glowing
31 Confirm that the DC input indicator is Glowing
32 Confirm that the DC output indicator is Glowing
33 Confirm that the DC output Terminals read 24V DC + 10 %
34 Turn OFF the AC Power on the AC input Terminals
35 Confirm that the AC input indicator is not Glowing
36 Confirm that the DC output indicator is Glowing
37 Confirm that the DC output Terminals read 24 VDC + 10 %
38 Confirm that Output Voltage does not Drop to Zero during Changeover
39 Turn OFF the Power Supply
