A VISIT TO OWINO MARKET
Last Sunday, Mr. Waiswa went to Owino market with his children: Mbidde, Mukasa and
Kisakye. He wanted to buy foods like; bananas, yams, cassava, fruits and vegetables and
some things for his children to use at school.

They went where food was being sold. “What do you want, Kisakye?” Mr. Waiswa asked. “I
like yams more than bananas,” answered Kisakye. Mbidde preferred bananas to yams.
Mukasa liked both Cassava and bananas. All the children liked fruits more than vegetables.

After buying food, they went where school materials were being sold. Mukasa asked his
father to buy him a red bag but not a blue one. However, Kisakye liked a blue bag. “What
colour do you like Mbidde?” asked their father. “I like purple,” said Mbidde. Mr. Waiswa
bought all the items his children liked.
