1/What would you think about a career in dentistry?

I think there is a lot of reasons why people choose to work in the dental office. With
population growth and changes in health care. Social needs someone who can protect and
save there`s teeth. It is the biggest reason that can answer why I love to work in the dental
office. Besides, the dental team is loved and regarded by the communities they serve for
their contributions to the general health of the public. Dentists and their teams can restore
oral health and transform the lives of their patients. They also get a good salary. The
dentist does not work single-handed but usually co-op with the dental team. It is difficult
to have a career in dentistry. You must learn a lot and have a good score to study in
university. The dental team also calls an artist in dental surgery, with the equipment
dentist and their team can make your smile become a fantastic art.

2/What do you think would be the positive and negative aspects?

Being a dentist can be both fruitful and exhausting.

On the one hand, dentistry is a profession that entails a lot of hard work and dedication. It
takes an immense amount of time and effort to become a skillful dentist. You will need to
complete at least eight years of schooling, four years of dental school, and an additional
two years in a dental program before you can take the national licensing examination.
There are lots of skills they have to master, such as manual dexterity, excellent
observational skills, precision, attention to details, and hard work ethic. Dentists spend
their days working with patients one-on-one or with small groups, which means they
need to be compassionate listeners as well as healers. The clinical staffs also have to
enjoy working with people regularly as well as being creative thinkers.
In addition, these practitioners also have to work around 54 hours per week on average
and get little time for vacations. Furthermore, they deal with patient's emotional, physical
pain and suffering regularly - which can take a toll on them.

On the other hand, there are many amazing things about dentistry as a profession: first
and foremost, dentists get to work hard every day to make sure their patients feel good
and look good! As a service-oriented career, there is instant gratification of patients to
their staffs after they make significant improvements in people’s lives. Moreover,
dentistry is an extremely stable career with one of the lowest unemployment rates around
the world. As a dentist, you will never have to worry about financial security because oral
healthcare is always necessary and always in demand. Dentistry has also been ranked as
one of the top professions by Forbes magazine for years due to its promising career
outlook!

Overall, although working in the dental office can be extremely burdensome at times, it is
very gratifying and worthwhile to provide quality care that can drastically change lives
for the better.

3/What do you think would be the most difficult part of a dentist`s job?

Not only is it time-consuming to study and train to be a skilled dentist, but odontology is
also a cutthroat field. Since the rate of medical school applicants is rocketing over the
years, it is difficult and competitive to get into the dental field. Students, chiefly high
schoolers, are on edge because they have to be in a reputable high school, have perfect
scores, do additional research projects, participate in extracurricular activities to ensure
accepted into medical school.

After many years of devoting themselves, graduates must compete with fellow dentists
for patients. Because of the convenience of urban areas, nearly every metropolitan area is
well beyond its optimal dentist to people ratio. As the market is getting saturated, it's
becoming more strenuous to earn a living as a dentist. On top of that, they must ensure to
allocate a decent amount of money into marketing to maintain a successful practice.

An appealing field as dentistry is, competition in the dental field has gotten to the point
where it poses real challenges for all practicing dentists and prospective practitioners.
