Chapter 1: European Paleolithic Cave Art

Tens of thousands of years ago, human beings endured an Ice Age. In spite of the
tremendously harsh living conditions, they survived and flourished. These Paleolithic hunter-
gatherers created beautiful works of art that are a testament to their will, determination,
strength, creativity, and intelligence.
