1 Information

1.1 CFR Class 60

The CFR Class 60 is a six axle diesel electric-locomotive which was built
by Electroputere Craiova, from 1959 to 1981. They were based on a design
created by SLM Winterthur, BBC Baden and Sulzer Winterthur and bears,
externally, resemblance to AE 6/6 Swiss electric locomotive.
This makes it to the most built class form the diesel-electric locomotive series.
There were some variations in the build resulting in some slight differences
between batches of locomotives in the class. There are still in use by the CFR
Calatori, CFR Marfa and private companies.

CFR Class 60 – Functions available in the Simulator

5 DSV, Indusi and Fault Systems

5.1 DSV (vigilance alarm)

The locomotive has a working DSV ( vigilance alarm ) which can be activated or
deactivated with <PAGE UP> The purpose of the DSV is to keep the driver
vigilant at all times and to allow the locomotive to come quickly and safely to a
stop should the driver become incapacitated or otherwise not be in proper
control of the train.
If you switched on the DSV you have to press the space bar every 30 seconds
to reset it.
If you forget to reset the DSV, the DSV Alarm sound will remind you to press it.
If you miss the sound after 10 seconds train will begin emergency braking.

5.2 Indusi i60R (Automatic train protection & control)

The locomotive has a near realistic build in Indusi i60R system used in Romania
for speed control of trains.
Use <HOME> to switch Indusi on or off.
Indusi train mode you can switch with <R>
The Indusi could only be switched on or off when the train is not moving.
Use the following keys to control the Indusi:
• <DEL> = Override
• <End> = Release
• <Page down> = Acknowledge
The help system will assist you when you have no experience with the PZB. It
tells you in a message box what you have to do.
Indusi train rangs: Rapid(Special, International, Express passenger),
Persoane(Stopping passanger), Marfa(Freight, Empty Stock, Light Engine)

5.3 Fault System

The locomotive has an overheating feature, if your using the locomotive at the
high RPM you can overheat it and a box message will tell what you have to do.
