Ms. Coker has done a wonderful job and I

have seen growth in all areas while she has
been here.
I have become more active and better at
managing time and attention when helping
students individually to complete their
classwork.
FEAP’s 2 a.
Goal: I needed to work on how to manage
working with individual students while
managing time and attention.
- I have learned how to better manage
time, space, and attention with students
when helping them individually to
complete their work. I manage my time
and attention by going to each student by
the order they raise their hands and
manage the time by helping the student
then coming back to check on them later
so that I can move to the next student
who needs help.

I have been able to learn how to talk to the
students in alignment with the classroom rules manage students’ behavior.

I have been more confident in talking to the
students I speak louder and clearer than when
compared to the beginning of the semester. I
have learned to be careful to use words that
they are familiar with at the first-grade level
and if I use a word they may not understand I
make sure to explain it meaning. I have been
improving on giving clear instructions to the
students that are easy for them to understand
and follow.
FEAP’s 2 b.
Goal: I needed to learn the classroom rules and
management plan to be more active in helping
- I listen carefully to Mrs. Wallace and
have worked to know the classroom rules
and management plan well so that I can
effectively manage individual and class
behaviors through the well-planned
management system.
FEAP’s 2 c.
Goal: To learn ways in which I can convey high
expectations to all students.
- I learned that conveying high
expectations to all students can be done
by expecting students at all levels to
progress without dismissing any student
as less important because they are
struggling to keep up. I was able to
convey high expectations to all students
in Mrs. Wallace’s class this semester by
helping struggling students directly and
also having students that are ahead in
their learning help by having them work
together.
FEAP’s 2 e.
Goal: I would like to have more confidence in
the classroom to improve my verbal
communication skills.
- I have been working to learn how to
explain things to the students by using
language for the appropriate level for the
students in order to model clear,
acceptable oral communication skills.
 I feel that Mrs. Wallace’s classroom is the
perfect example of maintaining a climate of
openness, inquiry, fairness and support.
FEAP’s 2 f.
- Thanks to the wonderful example Mrs.
Wallace provided since day one of my
internship I felt that I was able to catch
on right away to join her in maintaining a
climate of openness, inquiry, fairness and
support.

- I always stop to listen to anything a

student would like to say even if it is off
topic. Everything students’ have to say is
treated as important. Every question is
considered a good question. I am always
working to ensure fairness and support
by maintaining a good student-teacher
relationship so that students feel that I
am approachable for support and I work
to always make things fair to all students.

Ms. Coker has demonstrated effective goals

during her time here. She is engaged and
asks questions. She is truly interested in
learning and how to be better. She has
participated in or observed lesson planning,
team planning, a student conference and
teacher professional development meetings.

My knowledge of fist-grade curriculum has
greatly increased since spending time in the
classroom. I still have a great deal to learn
but I am sure that this knowledge will
significantly increase with more internship
and classroom experiences.
FEAP’s 5 a.
Goal: I have set a professional goal to build my
conceptual knowledge in first-grade
curriculum.
- I have been working on my goal to
strengthen the effectiveness of
instruction based on students’ needs by
taking notes and talking with Mrs.
Wallace every day in my internship. I
also work on this goal by taking note of
and utilizing what content is useful in
connection with my current courses,
Teaching Elementary Math 1 and
Teaching Elementary Science.

I take notes and write reflections on my
experiences in the classroom as well as
reflect with Mrs. Wallace on things
throughout the day.
I did not have the opportunity to engage in
professional growth opportunities but I
definitely will in future semesters.
FEAP’s 5 e.
Goal: Engages in targeted professional growth
opportunities and reflective practices.
- I have been engaging in targeted
reflective practices this semester by
reflecting in my notes throughout the
day, reflecting and asking questions
with Mrs. Wallace, and in many of my
reflective assignments for my USF
courses. However, I need to seek out
professional growth opportunities in the
future.

6. Professional Responsibility and Ethical Conduct. Understanding that educators are held to a high
moral standard in a community, the effective educator adheres to the Code of Ethics and the Principles of
Professional Conduct of the Education Profession of Florida, pursuant to State Board of Education Rules
6B-1.001 and 6B-1.006, F.A.C, and fulfills the expected obligations to students, the public and the
education profession.
