Tablets too. Android was developed by the Open Handset Alliance (OHA), which is led by Google. The
Open Handset Alliance (OHA) is a consortium of multiple companies like Samsung, Sony, Intel and
many more to provide services and deploy handsets using the android platform.
ANDROID HISTORY: Google launched the first version of Android platform on Nov 5, 2007, from
that onwards Google released a lot of android versions under a codename based on desserts, such as
Apple Pie, Banana Bread, Cupcake, Donut, Éclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Jellybeans, Kitkat, Lollipop,
marshmallow, etc. and made a lot of changes and additions to the android platform.
FEATURES: Android is a powerful operating system competing with Apple 4GS and supports great
features. Few of them are listed below

each budget category.
9. NISHITA MORE: Custom ROMs: Since Android is an open source OS,
developers can use its code and tweak it to make their own version of it,
called a custom ROM. These are always updated with the latest version
of Android, no matter what phone you have (as long as the developer
wants to). Developers are also usually quick to fix bugs. This can make
your phone last longer because it receives more updates and security
patches.
10. RIYA PATIL: If a user doesn't like a particular Android skin from the
OEM, the user can simply install a custom ROM. Simply rooting an
Android device allows you to mod your android with admin privileges
which further allows advanced customization and is better than jail
breaking on iOS. Several manufacturers keep the warranty intact.
11. UPASANA PATIL: Android devices have an array of Google services
and apps. From Docs to Drive and Gmail to Maps- all these apps are
business-friendly and useful for increasing productivity. Android OS can
offer a seamless experience of Google apps.
12. NIKITA THOSAR: A compact phone, stylish touchscreen, a rotating
camera, Android-based phones have many functions and excellent
functionality. Every year, Apple comes up with new iPhones and the
newer version of iOS, but then older devices that run on the previous iOS
versions become obsolete. In a way, Apple has limited devices as
compared to Android.
