Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) is a university in Beijing, China. It boasts the oldest

language programs in China, offering the largest number of foreign language majors on

different educational levels. BFSU ranked the 17th out of 2,965 universities in China according

to the statistics conducted on scores of test takers for the National College Entrance

Examination (Gaokao). The Master of Public Administration (MPA) is a graduate degree

designed for professionals whose interest is to work for, engage in and lead towards the

development, promotion and advancement of effective, efficient and ethical practices in

government and non-government organizations. The program provides a strong theoretical

foundation of public administration combined with the practice of good public governance.
It aims to produce public administration graduates who will lead the country towards the

achievements of the Philippines Development Plan. MPA graduates are expected to possess the

critical, nationalist, and world-class technocrats. Taken in two semesters, the 3-unit course is a

review of research methods where passing a proposal is a requirement. A unique practice is to

subject the prepared dissertation proposal to class evaluation through a simulation of oral

defense. Students are involved in relevant programs and activities in different courses to

achieve the MPA program objectives. The curricular relevant projects and activities are;

individual term \rpapers/policy analysis, written report, book reviews, studies, and \rcritiques.

As a culminating activity, students conduct and \rorganize seminars in cooperation with MPA

Society.

trends, and problems of contemporary public and. non-profit organizations involved in service

delivery. The search for a more transparent, accountable and responsive government has

changed the landscape of public governance systems. The challenge on public servants is also a

challenge to higher education institutions that train them. The College of Political Science and

Public Administration (CPSPA) will be established in Liberia's largest state-funded university

during the administration of a President. The MPA program has obtained the Certificate of
Compliance (COPC) form the Commission on Higher Education effective Academic Year 2020-

2021. The training experience provides students with the opportunity to have a fulfilling career

in government or public service. Public administrators draft, analyze, and implement policies

through a wide range of government agencies.

organizations in public management, administration, and governance education.

Vision: Produce responsible, committed, and progressive public administrators and managers

who are pro-active, innovative, creative, and transformational in managing the affairs of public

and non-government organizations in particular, as well as in sharing and teaching the

discipline of public management, administration, and governance in general.

OBJECTIVES of the MPA Program

• Enhance political-administrative-technical and leadership skills in specialized areas of public

administration, management and governance.

• Develop expertise in the utilization of analytical tools and techniques in research relevant to

public administration.
