The abandoned child get warmth and

shelter from the feared blood sucking
demon.
 Longline

A girl ,possibly hurt , running away from something into the woods . It was night, raining, she fell-on her
face on the muddy ground. She took shelter under a giant banyan tree. Little did she know that she
came into the renowned myth ‘Yakshi’ s domain. She get scared and nods off only to be welcomed by
the folk art forms dancing . The Yakshi approaches her, she gets scared,but she realises things are not
what it seems. Yakshi embrace her from within and she begun playing with them and realises and it
was not just them but there are others with them. Other children, girls, boys, young woman, all lost and
abandonded took shelter in her abode. Yakshi asked if she wanted to join. She nods yes. Next possible
morning a traveller finds the young girls body degraded into a stone near the banyan tree.He lit a lamp
and left. That lamp is still lit,shining way to lonely travelers .
