Making Observations and Inferences

Objectives:
1. To make observations
2. To draw inferences

Materials:
1. Drinking glass
2. Lemon Juice
3. Ice cubes
4. Watch

Procedures:
1. Fill half of the glass with lemon juice and observe.
a. Describe the color and taste of the lemon juice.
b. Touch the outside surface of the glass. How does it feel?
2. Observe the ice cubes. Describe their shapes and appearance.
3. Add 4 to 6 ice cubes to the lemon juice.
4. After 5 minutes, observe again the lemon juice, ice cubes, and the outside surface of the
glass. Write down any change you observed.
5. Make inferences on what brought about the changes you observed.
6. Based on previous knowledge and your experience, make an inference for every
observation you made. Write all observations and inferences under Data and
Observations.
