purpoled not to have pub-
lifhed any more Treatises
of this Kind, yet by the De-
fire of feveral of my Friends and Ac-
quaintance, I have been prevailed on
again to take up the Pencil, to pre-

In circular Arches, if they are placed
near the Eye, it is ncceflary that they rife
fomewhat more than the Simi-diameter of the
Circle of which they are compofed j as the
Impofts will otherwife take off from the
Sight of their Altitude, and gaufe them' to
appear flat and low.

The Dmc Kfy-Stone may be three-fourths
of the Diameter of the Column in Height
and about Twenty-eight Parts and an half
from the Scale in Breadth at the Bottom of
the Stone,
