• Perform hand hygiene.

• Put on the gown by placing one arm at a time through the sleeves.

• Wrap the gown around the body so that it covers your clothing completely.

• Bring the waist ties from the back to the front of the gown or tie it in theback according to hospital
policy.

• Tie the gown at the neck or adhere the Velcro strap to the gown, depending on the type of gown.

• Don the mask, cinching it at the nose for a closer fit. Tie it behind thehead.

• Don the protective eyewear.

• Don disposable gloves.
