Es de gran ventaja manejar la mayor cantidad posible, así que sería una

3. Present Continuous.

In these examples, the action is taking place at the time of speaking .

En estos ejemplos, la acción se realiza en el momento de la


conversación.

 It's raining.
 Who is Kate talking to on the phone?
 Look, somebody is trying to steal that man's wallet.
 I'm not looking. My eyes are closed tightly.

El BE como verbo principal en una oración

4. Simple Present
The present simple is used to talk about actions we see as long term or
permanent. It is very common and very important.

(El Presente Simple es utilizado para hablar de acciones realizadas por


periodos largos o permanentemente, es decir como hábito.)

In these examples, we are talking about regular actions or events.

(En estos ejemplos, vemos acciones o eventos usuales)

 I drive to work every day.


 She doesn't come very often.
 The games usually start at 8.00 in the evening.
 What do you usually have for breakfast?

Affirmative sentences:

I read books. My brother reads books.


We sing pop songs. She sings pop songs.
I play handball. John plays handball.

Negative sentences:

You must not negate a full verb in English. Always use the auxiliary do for
negations.

(Para la negación y la pregunta necesitas los auxiliares Do / Does)

I   like computers.
I don't like computers at all.

My friend   likes computers.


My mum doesn't like computers at all.

3) together with the Past Progressive/Continuous - The Simple Past interrupted an action which

Past Progressive - Form

to be (was, were) + infinitive + -ing

1) actions were in progress at special time in the past

Peter was reading a book yesterday evening.

2) two actions were happening at the same time (the actions do not influence each other)

Anne was writing a letter while Steve was reading the New York Times.

3) together with the Simple Past

While we were sitting at the breakfast table, the telephone rang.

4) repeated actions irritating the speaker (with always, constantly, forever)

Andrew was always coming in late.

Past Progressive - Examples

Affirmative sentences:
I was playing football. You were playing football.

Negative sentences:
I was not playing football. You were not playing football.
I was't playing football. You weren't playing football.

Questions:
Was I playing football? Were you playing football?

GENERAL GUIDANCE FOR WRITING A BIOGRAPHY

First paragraph should answer these questions:

4.What could or couldn´t you do when you were 5 years?
Example when I was 5 years old, I could talk but I couln´t write

Second paragraph

8.What do you study?
9.Tell about your work.
10.What are you future plans?

Remember: write your original biography, don’t copy from another student.

The composition should be presented in 3 paragraphs minimum.
