Do you agree that the Philippines is a collectivist society?

In my opinion, Philippines is not a collectivist society but individualistic. Initially we

would think that our society is collectivist because of how considerate we are
towards other people specially to out visitors, we tend to think how collectivist we are
when in fact we are just family oriented society. Philippines is not a collectivist
society because if we are then there would no longer hunger and poverty in our
country, these higher ups and politician which we put our trust on, are only
interested in their selves and never intended to help poor people. Another example
is how oriented filipinos are in their clan, aside from family reputation of our clan is
one of the most important, outstanding reputation must remain even if it means war.

How does our cultural orientation shape/impact our idea of self, especially as
a Filipino? Give at least two (2) concrete examples that would illustrate and
support your opinion.
