TRIGGER WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS WORDS THAT MIGHT TRIGGER SOMEONE SUCH AS

ABORTION AND RAPE, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

1. Most of us grew up in a religious family where our parents taught us that taking
someone’s life is a sin, that is why whenever we are talking about abortion I have always
been negative about it and definitely disagree with it. Not until I saw that particular
news, I clearly remembered how that particular news drastically changed my opinion
towards abortion: A woman who just gave birth to a healthy baby girl dumped her baby
in a trash bag and place it in the cemetery to decompose along with already lifeless
bodies. I automatically asked myself, is dumping your own innocent and alive baby is
better than aborting it while it is still lifeless in your tummy? Scientifically speaking, a
baby must be 10 weeks after the last menstruation to be considered as ‘fetus’ hence
aborting it before 10 weeks is totally not a crime. Then, are there any circumstances
that justify the deliberate termination of pregnancy? In my opinion, yes, because being
pregnant is not the whole story. It could be that she is pregnant because someone
raped her, she is pregnant yet she is still too young and her body might not survive, she
is pregnant yet they can’t afford it. There are lots of circumstances where abortion is
indeed necessary so the mother and the baby won’t suffer more. Aborting is better than
making that innocent child suffer out of poverty, out of toxicity, and out of pain. The
story will never end by giving birth to that child, allowing a child to I've just because
abortion seems to be a sin will never save a child, at all.

2. Is selling one’s own blood and organs to people who need them is wrong? In my
opinion, let us be practical. Poverty has been always our problem and most of us are
willing to do anything just to sustain our own and family’s necessities, and if selling own
blood and organs means earning enough money to sustain our needs then I do not see
anything wrong with it, not to mention that these organs were destined to be given to
those people who need it to survive and live longer. Selling your blood or organ will not
only save yourself but other people as well, it only means that doing such a thing is not
and will never be a sin.

3. Religious people tend to say that humans were created and molded out of God’s
features and just like how God wanted us to be, hence changing and undergoing genetic
enhancement is a sin. In my opinion, undergoing genetic enhancements is wrong, not
only because of religious reasons but because genetic enhancements are hurting
animals and humans. According to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)
an American animal rights organization based in Norfolk, Virginia, and led by Ingrid
Newkirk, that more than 10 million animals are suffering every year because of drugs,
chemicals, cosmetics, and other medical experiments in attempt of developing new
ways, solutions, and innovations. Genetic enhancements are one of the major reasons
as to why there is animal testing, it can also bring danger to humans because no matter
how many animals scientists will use to test a certain enhancement, there will always be
a first human to try it, which can lead to serious incidents.
