1. Are you in favor of abortion? Why?

Yes, I am in favor of abortion. As abortion is one of the highly controversial topic

in the present, I also want to share my ideas about it. I believe that it is a
woman's choice whether or not to give birth because it is her own body. We
should never judge a woman because we do not know the reasons for her
choices. She may be a victim of rape or a single mother who could not afford to
raise a child. Every child would be happy if they were wanted and were treated
as gifts by their parents. While they say that abortion is murder, I believe that it
was not because a fetus is not a fully human. I may sound harsh but it is better
for a mother not to continue her pregnancy if it was an unwanted one. She may
never provide the things that a child deserves and neglect them which will let the
child to suffer. It would also destroy a woman’s dreams and career. If one day
she can already accept being a mother, then giving birth is always possible.

2. What are your views and opinions about euthanasia?

I do not have a good opinion about euthanasia when I was a child. I thought it
was all about killing without pain or a death sentence for the sinner. All I know
that using euthanasia is inhumane and should be stopped. But now these
opinions were change because of our latest topic in PMLS. Yes, Euthanasia
were known as mercy killing or killing without suffering. But this were not used
only for the sinners but for the patients who wants to end their suffering because
of illness. I learnt that using euthanasia is a way to escape their sufferings and
have their eternal rest. It was not inhumane at all as it is their choice to end their
life. As I stated in the second sentence, euthanasia is also used as punishment
for the sinner. And still I do not agree with this. Because if God can forgive us
many times repeatedly, then we should also know how to forgive others. A
punishment in jail for a life time is enough for those sinners.

3. Is genetic engineering morally correct? Support your answer.

Yes, genetic engineering is morally correct. In Darwin’s evolution of man, it was

stated that we are evolving and to ever greater perfection and enhancement. An
example is the present-day scientific discoveries especially in genetic
engineering which saved many lives through curing different human genetic
diseases. Genetic engineering enhances human gain through science. It leads to
the unscientific rationalization that since genes are natural, and that genetic
exchange between species and changes within species occur naturally, then
engaging in this technology does not violate the sanctity of life or the integrity of
species. It is also used in creating the kinds of transgenic plants, animals, and
other organisms that are to be used in conventional agriculture. If it can help rural
communities and improve food quality then it is morally acceptable. Therefore,
since gene exchange is a natural phenomenon, genetically engineered crops
should be acceptable to organic farming standards
