ETHICS OF NATURAL LAW THEORY

JARED JOSHUA CANJA BSED 2 – SCIENCE

We are task in this world full of imperfections to do well and remain natural. We are
likely to be a Good Samaritan and expecting nothing in return. Around the world, health care
isn’t available to every pregnant woman. In low-income countries, premature babies without
food or access to incubators are dying and leads to malnutrition. Health workers presence
when the baby is born can help the mother establish exclusive breastfeeding, and can support
her to keep the baby warm through contact with the skin. Many women abort their child
because of the lacking of education, financial status, early pregnancy, expose to drug
addiction, prostitution, and depression. They are being misguided by their parents and
somebody behind them. Although there so many women empowerment organizations, this
case is still rampant around the world especially the Philippines. There are so many reasons
why they must avoid and abort the child. It is maybe in their law, medical reasons or maybe a
forced decision. It is not okay to abort a child according to the Natural Law Theory. It is a sin
to God to abort a child. But in some cases, we have a different religion that’s why we can’t
blame other people why they must do it. It does not follow what is on the theory.

As I said, there are many valid reasons why the child died. Just like a pregnant woman
with a uterine cancer or endometrial cancer. If this woman is going to push through a normal
delivery, there is a possibility that a child is going to die or a mother is going to die.
Hysterectomy is a removal of a uterine, thus the woman will no longer suffer from the cancer
but it doesn’t tell that you are free from harm. It doesn’t mean that there is no danger because
the woman is pregnant and there is a life inside the womb. There are no choices of who you
will save because both are valid. It is immoral to abort a baby. Mothers give their full self to
their baby. They surrender everything even if it cost their life and their soul because their
babies are their world, mostly. Evil cannot separate the soul of the baby and the mother
because love is eternal. The baby is always a part of a mother. Their decision to love a baby
is indestructible. Love is a basic law of our humanity that’s why they are committed and
fully expressed to their self. They give justice to whatever decision they made.

If hysterectomy can save the mother’s life, well, it is still immoral to not to deliver a
baby. It is unrightful to the law of humanity. A life is part of every law whether it is an
animal or a human. The only moral way is to save them both. We all know that hysterectomy
can put the life of a baby to death. It is moral to do to deliver a baby first before the surgery
for the removal of the uterine if the mother is lucky enough to deliver. But above all, the
actions can maybe put their life in danger but it is never immoral to save them both besides
the results cannot be predicted without a trial. The loss of a baby is only permissible when the
baby did not survive after the delivery. There is already a prediction but no results. Any
collateral damage is excuse if the mother or the baby did not survive after. The excuses will
not be accepted or tolerated if there is a mishandled situation during the delivery of a baby or
a mother is forced to do a hysterectomy to save her life. The situation makes you confused
only by the choices but it is never a sin to save your baby’s life over your life because you’ve
always been there life since the day they were born.

Let us all be vigilant to know that every life in this world is worth to see. Let us not
tolerate evilness over goodness. Let’s save humanity without expecting in return because the
real humanity starts from the inclination to God and direct ourselves to good. God is perfect
while humans are imperfect and it doesn’t matter because failures can inspire people to make
a difference, do well and create lesson for everyone to know that living eternally with God is
the most moral way as a natural law.
