I. OVERVIEW OF LEARNING ACTIVITIES
This activity aims to assess the learners’ reading comprehension. The leaners will
read about “ Covid 19” and note details in various text type related to corona virus. They
will also read the selection “ Your Body and Stress” to be able to match the type of text
structure to sentences from the selection.

Learner is able to get the meaning of words using the dictionary, thesaurus, and/or online

During the global pandemic, one of the cheapest, easiest, and most important way to
prevent the spread of a virus is to wash your hands frequently with soap and water.

Here is everything you need to know about how to wash your hands the right way.

To remove all traces of virus or dirt on your hands, a quick scrub and rinse of your hands will not
help at all to get rid of this. Instead, wet hands with water and put soap. Next, scrub all surfaces of
the hands including back, between fingers and under nails for at least 20 seconds. Then, rinse
thoroughly with clean water. Finally, dry hands with a clean cloth or towel.

out of it. I stay home but I make productive things. Last Monday, I surfed the DepEd
Commons website and open a video about the solar system. Yesterday, I played
badminton with my big brother. I do household chores everyday, too.
_________________ 2. A person who has common colds can be described as one
with runny nose, teary eyes, and poor-tasting tongue. Colds is contagious. A person
who has it must be quick to cover his/her mouth when sneezing.
_________________ 3. It is no doubt that proper handwashing can really make us
free from disease infection. Experts tell us the essential use of soap and
water. They kill the microorganisms brought by our hands. So, I always convince my
little siblings to wash their hands even at times they are sleepy.

guava tree. It was there where we spent our time upon arrival from school. We
enjoyed so much climbing there while eating ripe and sweet guava fruits. The vitamin
