I. OVERVIEW OF LEARNING ACTIVITIES
This activity aims to assess the learners’ reading comprehension. The leaners will read a
short paragraph “Filipinos” to recognize the different parts of a paragraph.
Learners will also be assessed with the use of dictionary, thesaurus, and/or online resources
in getting the meaning of unfamiliar words.

The learner demonstrates an understanding that word meaning can be derived from
different resources.
Skills
Learner will be able to get the meaning of words using the dictionary, thesaurus, and/or
online resources to gather appropriate and relevant information.
