The learners use the degree of adjective in the sentence.

B. Performance Standard
The learners will be able to use the types of degrees of comparison for making sentences.
C. Most Essential Learning Competencies
At the end of the lesson, you are expected to:
1. Identify the degrees of comparison used in the sentence.
2. Compose clear and coherent sentences using appropriate degrees of comparison adjectives.
3. Complete the sentences with the appropriate degrees of comparison adjectives

B. Lesson Proper:
a. Motivation:
a. What’s in the box? (Gamification)
The learners will guess what object in the box by touching it. They have 5 seconds to guess
what’s object is in the box.
Ask:
What can you say about the words that you guessed?
b. Presentation
a. Let the learners write on the board the series of word used to describe an object in the guessed box.
b. Complete the table Using the Degrees of Comparison
Say:
The three degrees of adjectives are the following:

 The POSITIVE degree is used when we are simply describing a person or thing.
 The COMPARATIVE degree is used when we are comparing two persons or things. We
usually add –er at the end of the adjective or use word like “more” before the adjective.
 The SUPERLATIVE degree is used when comparing three or more persons or things.

c. Activities
Activity 1. Directions: Use the correct degree of comparison of the adjectives inside the
parentheses. Write your answer on your show me board.

Reflection Ako ay nag-alinlangan sa kasanayang tumapat sa araw ng aking
 
pagpapakitang-turo. Una, alam kong hindi gaanong batid o pamilyar sa mga
mag-aaral ang tungkol sa Balangiga Massacre. Pangalawa, walang aklat ang
Ikaanim na Baitang sa Araling Panlipunan. Pangatlo, medyo nahirapan akong
mag-isip ng teaching strategies na nababagay sa mga mag-aaral lalo na sila ay
nanibago sa face to face classes. Maraming dapat pang hasain sa mga mag-
aaral. Simula unang lingo hanggang sa kasalukuyan ay hindi naging madali sa
guro ang turuan sila ng routinary activities at halos hindi nakikisali sa mga
talakayan. Kahit ang pagsulat ay dapat pang sanayin/turuan kahit sila ay nasa
huling baitang na ng elementarya.
Dahil sa may Budget of Work kailangan masunod ito kung kaya pinilit
pangatawanan ng guro na maituro sa araw na ito ang araling nakalaan,
sapagkat sa Araling Panlipunan 6 sa kasalukuyan ay kailangan sunod-sunod na
maituro ang kasaysayan ng Pilipinas. Hindi maaaring lumaktaw ng aralin.
Marami ding naging balakid sa paggawa ng Banghay-aralin sapagkat
madalas may mga lumilibang guro dahil hindi maganda ang pakiramdam
ganoon din ang gurong tagpagdaloy. Ang pagkakaroon ng face to face seminar
ay isa pang naging balakid upang hindi kaagad nagawa ang mga bagay na
dapat gamitin ng guro. Gayun pa man kailangang maging positibo ang isang
guro kung kaya nakagawa pa rin ang LP at mga kagamitang gagamitin upang
mayroong maipakitang “Best Practices” sa mga bagong guro.

Remarks Mahal ko ang propesyon na aking napili kung kaya ang mga bagay na
mahirap ay napagagaan o ang imposible ay nagiging possible kapag ginusto.
Gawin ang pagtuturo nang may pagmamahal at buong kaalaman sa aralin.
Dapat ituro ang mga bagay na dapat malaman ng mga mag-aaral. Ang mga
“teaching strategies” ay dapat iayon sa kakayahan ng mga mag-aaral.
