A. Content Standard
The learners use the degree of adjective in the sentence.
B. Performance Standard
The learners will be able to use the types of degrees of comparison for making sentences.
C. Most Essential Learning Competencies
At the end of the lesson, you are expected to:
1. Identify the degrees of comparison used in the sentence.
2. Compose clear and coherent sentences using appropriate degrees of comparison adjectives.
3. Complete the sentences with the appropriate degrees of comparison adjectives
The POSITIVE degree is used when we are simply describing a person or thing.
The COMPARATIVE degree is used when we are comparing two persons or things. We
usually add –er at the end of the adjective or use word like “more” before the adjective.
The SUPERLATIVE degree is used when comparing three or more persons or things.

Activity 1. Directions: Use the correct degree of comparison of the adjectives inside the
parentheses. Write your answer on your show me board.
