after all the affixes are removed.
• ▪ Affix is a part of a word placed before or after the root
word to form a new word.
• ▪ An affix can take the forms of a prefix that is added before
the root word like: un, im, in and a suffix that is added after the
root word like: ful, less, ness, ion and many more.
• ▪ When affixes are added to a root word, the new word
formed carries a new meaning.
