Kanban Approach

The case study chosen for the project is “Digital Transformation”. The organization “Bao

Vista” is taken under emphasis for reflecting on the importance of integrating Kanban

methodology with organization management models. In the first paragraph of the case study, it is

clearly mentioned that the aim of the organization is to focus on adapting to the changes required

by the consumers as well as ensuring a fast delivery system for developing a more efficient

outlook to the framework.

There is a multitude of reasons behind choosing the “Kanban approach” for this case

study. Firstly, the approach gives a steady reach to all levels of the company. From senior

executives to the middle and lower level workforce, the team leader can approach all of the

chains and bonds. The goals behind adapting the approach, are; “Making processes and

operations leaner without forcing any unnecessary changes, tackling the current pain points

of the different functions and enabling them to improve steadily over time and achieving

transparency to prevent misalignment, communication noise, difficulty in identifying

bottlenecks, and lack of collaboration”.

The project will provide a bright opportunity of looking into the organisation’s functions and

management strategies to look into the importance of having a Kanban methodology. as

compared to the other project management approaches, Kanban is complex and requires the

users to exhibit a higher knowledge level. If any user or developer doesn’t have proper education

or skills, they might end up in creating a deceitful software. As per Ahmad, Markkula, & Oivo

(2016), the approach is also easier to learn and practice. This implies that the research also

increases visibility in the work.
