Dear Supplier:
The purpose of this letter is to advise your company that it has not responded to Sensata Technologies’ request for
a 2021 Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (“CMRT”) and therefore has not complied with Sensata’s
requirements for responsible sourcing.
To address the legal requirements of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (“Dodd-
Frank Act”) and the responsible sourcing requirements of its customers, Sensata requires that suppliers that
provide parts or materials that contain Tungsten, Tin, Tantalum and Gold (“3TGs”, or “Conflict Minerals” as
defined in the Dodd-Frank Act) submit an annual CMRT to Sensata on a schedule that is established by Sensata.
This requirement is described clearly in Sensata’s Supplier Portal, its updated Supplier Code of Conduct, and in
Assent Compliance’s communications with Sensata’s direct suppliers as part of our 2021 CMRT Campaign.
A failure to respond to this request for Corrective Action within the requested time frame may result in further
escalation and, potentially, the loss of business with Sensata.
We also encourage Suppliers to take all necessary steps ensure that the smelters that it uses are conformant with
the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP), and to align its own sourcing practices with Sensata’s
Responsible Minerals Sourcing Policy and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of
Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas.
If you have any questions regarding this request, please contact Responsible_Sourcing@sensata.com.
Sincerely,
