K.3 The students will sing at the appropriate time following a musical introduction.
K.6 The students will demonstrate a steady beat.
K.7 The students will respond to music with movement, including
1. matching locomotor and nonlocomotor movements to rhythmic patterns;

Objectives: (List specific, assessable items you want students to KNOW and BE ABLE TO DO).
As a result of the instruction, students will be able to: (observable skills- action verbs)

- Sing the words of the song in correct pitch and rhythm.

- Dance to the movements that go along with the lyrics of the song while socially distancing
themselves properly.

Materials (List the instructional materials you will need or use for the lesson. Why? I will know that you know
what you need to teach the lesson and will not be running around the room to find something you forgot.)

Teacher must bring music stands and large pictures to display for the students. Attentive listening
from all students and a large space to gather into a socially distanced circle is also needed.

Modifications: (List any modifications in the instructional setting or room that you must make for any child
who has special needs. Could be child with a broken leg. It could be using a microphone for a child with a hearing
deficiency. Has anyone encountered this yet?)
Injured body part: student will sit down and sing the songs. Student will also verbally contribute to
what the body motions should be when putting the song together.
Child who is hard of hearing: The teacher will write the lyrics of the song on the whiteboard for the
child to see. Student will observe the body motions of other students and follow along.

Procedures:
Steps in Teaching: (List your instructional strategies. Specifically, how you plan to teach the objectives. What

motions. Then, teacher will ask the students to do the same.
b) Do same procedure with pictures 3 and 4.
c) Teacher will ask students to sing and do the motions to pictures 1-4 combined.
d) Teacher will guide the students using pictures 5 and 6 while singing and teaching

students that the student in the center will spin around during the last line of the song
(“shake it to the one that you love the best”) and point to another student who will then
come into the center while first student leaves the center to return to the rest of the group.

center every round. (2:30)
