1 Pre-plastering preparation
Is it the methodology approved and copy of the same available at site?
Is it the setting out as per base reference line/ approved drawings?
Is it all MEP services concealed work completed prior to start the work?
Is it the protection provided to installed components/ finishes?
Is it the Chicken wire mesh provided between RC structure and blockwork?
Is it the Mortar spread on the walls yet to be plastered cleaned prior to start the
plastering work?
Is it the Architectural items such as corner beads, U-grooves, copings and sides of
jamb if any completed prior to plastering work?
Are all finished works have done well protected prior to plastering work?
Is the surface wet before plastering is started?
2 During plastering
Is the material used of approved brand/source?
Is it the adequate lighting arrangement provided at work area?
Is the Verticality and minimum thickness of the plastering being maintained?
Is the sequence maintained for plastering i.e. Plastering is started from the top and
gradually worked? downwards to the floor as per specification from top towards
floor?
Is the mortar consumed within the initial setting time for cement (not more than 30
minutes)?
Is the plaster roughened with stick broom/brush for area where second layer of
plaster is specified?
Are the Edges/corners of all doors/windows opening completed along with
plastering?
Are the grooves provided as per drawings if any at the junction of two different
materials with prior approval?
Is it cut straight with edges chamfered for joint to be left?
3 Final plastering finishes
Is the surface Visually acceptable with no scratches?
Is it Checked the evenness, line, plumb etc., using straight edge?
Is it Checked surface free from damage or cracks?
Is the plaster roughened with stick broom/brush for area where tiling is specified?
4 Curing
Is it the Curing started as soon as the plaster has hardened sufficiently?
Is it the plaster being kept wet for a period of 7 days?
