AEB (Automation Engineer Basics) FAQs

Q1. Why is the AEB (Automation Engineer- Basic) certification assigned to me?

This Certification is assigned to all U1 to U4 Band associates allocated on FP Projects.

Also AEB is assigned to all technical associates of U1 and U2 Band, and it is assigned as a
mandate.

Q2. How Many Scripts and Tools assessments I need to complete to become AEB certified?

You are required to complete assessments for 1 Script and 2 Tools, from a list of eligible
assessments, to become AEB certified.

Q3. Where can I register for the AEB certification?

Register for AEB using the following path, registration is mandatory.

Q4. How do I extract AEB Certification completion e-certificate?

activity to generate the e-certificate

Q5. What are the Learning Avenues available for completing the assessments?

You may browse the following avenues for AEB learning reference. For further support, write to
your unit Learning Consultant or Learning Officer.

 E-Learning modules on DEXT

Above learning avenues are for your reference, completion of trainings mentioned above is
not mandatory to complete AEB. However, completion of assessment for 1 script and 2
Tools from a list of eligible assessments (refer AEB Getting Started document for eligible
list), is required to complete AEB.

Q6. Will I get the Learning credit of individual Script and Tool completion?

Yes, you will get the Learning credit of individual Script and Tool on completion.

Q7. Whom should I reach out for any other doubt on the assessment(s) to be completed by
me or any issues I face with DEXT?

Q8. How can I confirm that the required assessment(s) have been completed by me?

Once you submit assessment, you will receive score card on next working day. This score
card will have detailed result.
There are 4 attempts provided for any assessment.
Once 4 attempts are exhausted, attempts would be renewed only in next year January.

Q9 I have completed 1 Script and 2 Tools assessments however the AEB status is still shown
as pending.

If you have completed assessments for 1 script and 2 Tools, from the list of eligible
assessments, and still AEB is not marked as completed on DEXT, kindly raise a request on Hub

Q10 AEB is completed for me in DEXT, but completion status is not yet reflected on AQTPF

If AEB is marked as completed on DEXT, but completion status is not yet reflected on AQTPF,
kindly wait till coming Wednesday. Status is updated on AQTPF on every Wednesday. If status
does not reflect on coming Wednesday, you may write to AQTPF AQTPF@TechMahindra.com
Q11 AEB needs to be deallocated for me. What is the process to follow?

Q12. I am sub-Contractor, is it a mandate for me to complete AEB certification?

AEB is not mandated for Sub-contractors. If you are a sub-con and AEB is assigned to you,
then please raise a de-allocation request on HUB

Q13. Do I need to come to Quest Exam centers for appearing for the AEB assessments?

The Tools assessments can be appeared from associate’s desk, however for Script
assessments the associate needs to come to TLS Quest exam centers.

Q14. Where can I find the Quest exam slots available at my location?

Please refer Learning Bytes mailer for Quest exam slots.

Q15. I have not been assigned the AEB mandate; can I still complete this certification?
Yes, you can self-assign the AEB certification by registering for AEB certification and
appear for the assessments to complete the certification.

Please refer the Q3 to for AEB registration process.

Q16. What is the Process for exam booking for Scripting language assessment?

Steps to book an Exam

1. Go to https://twingo.techmahindra.com/Twingohome.aspx > Training > DEXT-Get


Ahead > Certification Platforms > Book Exam
2. Select Exam from drop down list and click Proceed. You will be linked to the
booking page
3. Select the Location (e.g. Pune).
4. Select the Building (e.g. Annex).
5. Select the Date Of Exam by clicking a date on the calendar.
i. If a message box says that this facility is not available for this
day, it means only selected days are available to take this Exam.

ii. Check the CI slot schedule to view the days for which the facility
is available.

6. Click ‘Book Exam’. You will be asked to make sure the details are correct. If you
want to change any of the details, click ‘No’.
7. If the details are correct, proceed by clicking ‘Yes’. You will be asked to verify your
manager details. If the details are correct, proceed by clicking ‘No’.
8. If details are wrong, click ‘Yes’.
9. Enter the manager name and manager mail to whom you want to send your
scores. Click ‘OK’.

A message box will appear showing your ExamId.

You will get the confirmation mail containing your exam details. Your test has been Booked.

Below is the process to book an exam for scripting language for onsite associates-

1. Go to https://twingo.techmahindra.com/Twingohome.aspx > Training > DEXT-Get


Ahead > Certification Platforms > Book Exam
2. Select Exam from drop down list and click Proceed. You will be linked to the booking
page
3. Select the below options:
Location: Onsite – Outside India
Building: Global
Date & Time: Any date/ time can be selected (exam can be taken at any other
time as well once you receive the password)
4. You may now proceed to book the desired exam. Once your exam is successfully
booked, you will receive a booking confirmation mailer from ‘Exam System’,
containing your exam ID & other booking details.
5. You will receive the password and exam guidelines through an automated mail
within 24 hours. Batch process is executed at 3 PM IST daily.
6. You may take the exam at your desk once you receive the password.
