Introduction to Carton Sourcing
Primark currently allow Suppliers to source cartons from their existing local suppliers, providing
corrugate materials have been submitted to PAC-D for testing and have qualified to meet our minimum
standards, set out below.

Note: Edge crush strength (ECT) measures the top to bottom stacking strength of the
corrugate material to adequately protect the carton from compression and crushing.
Recommended Carton Suppliers
For Suppliers whose samples fail to meet the minimum required standards, they will need to source
from a Primark recommended carton supplier.

For Suppliers whose samples pass the minimum requirements, we still recommend that you contact
your local Primark recommended carton supplier, for a comparable quote, as they may be more
competitive than your current source.

All the recommended carton suppliers have had their cartons tested and approved. They have also
been qualified as capable manufacturers, producing corrugate material in-house and using automatic
box making machinery. Each supplier is already holding nominated or approved status for a number of
other well-known fashion retail brands.
