NARRATIVE REPORT ON GAD VIRTUAL TRAINING

In order to widen the perspective about GAD and how to apply its concepts in teaching and
learning, Cato National High School personnel headed by Dr. Ruben E. Lao, Principal IV
attended virtually the 3-day District GAD Training on November 17-19, 2021 via Google Meet
and Facebook live.

The virtual training aimed to provide updates to teachers on GAD related issues and concerns,
concepts mandates and legal bases.
Generally, the speakers had enlightened the participants about the importance of Gender
equality and equity for the purpose of development among all.
The First Day Session was the arrival and registration or logging-in and accomplishing the
Online Registration/attendance. The seminar proper started with the singing of the national
anthem followed by a prayer, Regional Hymn and Pangasinan Hymn. After the recognition of
the participants, a heart-warming welcome remark was delivered by the District GAD
Coordinator, Sir Alvin S. Ancheta, Principal I of Infanta Integrated School, followed another
message by our Public Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Alfonso S. Dangat. The activity
Orientation was discussed by Ma’am Karen Joy M. Meulio, Teacher III and Focal Person of
Infanta Integrated School.

First Topic was “Burn out and its Causes” by Dr. Maribel P. Molino, Head Teacher III of
Maringindingin Elementary School followed by the second topic “Avoiding the Burn”
discussed by Dr. Nelva M. Cardenas, Head Teacher of Cato National High School. On the
afternoon session, we had the “Managing of Conflict and Stress in School” discussed by Sir
Alvin S. Ancheta, Principal I of Infanta Integrated School and the last was the “Twelve Ways
to Eliminate Stress at Work” by Ma’am Normita M. Meulio Head Teacher III of Patima
Elementary School.
