Question 1 - How would you change the list?

The list does not appear to be efficient. Additionally, there is no homogeneity in the manner

list has been introduced. I would gain the accompanying changes on the list:

 There should be a homogenous example on the list

 An order should be available

 Each assignment should have a distinct resource who can be circled back to

 The course of events for each errand in the list should be referenced

Question 2 - Who should be involved in the closure review?

It should involve all the essential partners of the venture in the closure review.

Undertaking closure is the last period of venture the executive’s cycle and includes assignments

like deliverable handover, documentation freeze, and so forth Consequently the essential partners

of the task–the customer, the venture administrator, the different interaction proprietors should

be available in the closure review.


Question 3 - To what degree should the postmortem be comprehensive? Why?

A task posthumous is led in the last stage or the finish of the venture in which the

undertaking group examinations the viewpoints which worked out positively and the angles

which may require improvement. An undertaking posthumous should be intensive with the goal

that the task group can recognize its qualities and shortcomings comprehensively. This will help

the group in not rehashing similar errors again and again.

CAT Inc. as an organization was well established and could execute a change in terms of

workforce and in terms of financial means. With the vision James brought into the organization,

CAT Inc. was ready to move ahead and take on its competition head on.

There are a few operational and strategic actions that are not mentioned in the case but

might have been executed to accomplish James’ vision would revolve around differentiation,

Mission Focus, Cultural shift, change management, thought management, Long-term strategic

decisions.

Question 2 - How do the changes affect the strategy of CAT, Inc.?

The current changes that James plans on making at CAT Inc., enabling CAT to be a cross

functional customer focused organization. To affect the strategy of the organization. The cultural
shift within the organization will lead to slowing down of day-to-day processes. Adapting with

the new technology.

Question 3 - What role did project management play?

Project management plays a crucial role in the success of any organization. Effective

project management drastically reduces the costs required to carry out the various processes

while improving efficiency simultaneously. Using an efficient project management team will

help to avoid unnecessary wastage of resources which can be used for other economic activities.
