The Old Black Church

The traditional roles of Churches need to be

changed. Black Churches and Ministers need
to get out of the traditional posture.

In 1790 the start of the Evangelic Movement,

Blacks were only permitted to accompany in
compliment with their Slave Master and Black
folk were denied access to Religion.

In 1817 the Evangelic movement picked up

momentum. Whites allowed Blacks to have
their own separate service with their own
Ministers using Religion as a Control Mecha- The Old Black Church
nism. Whites made sure to appoint, pick and
choose the Blacks to be the licensed Ministers
The Nature Of The

1. Black Ministers must use the Bible to teach

What the Black Church new obligation need to do:

1 From the Pulpit to Nursing school teach Black folk Economic principles, Capitalism in society, how to
acquire Wealth Power and Resources so that our young fully understand that a Black person producing
something, that’s where you love protect cherish and buy in your community.

2 Use the Church to Attract, Draw In Wealth, Lock it, and Hold it in the community. Please Cease and
desist from taking Monies out Black folk pockets buying bigger Churches with big Mortgages that go
straight back to the White pocket.

3 Set up Saving Unions, Credit Unions, and opportunities for Black folk to borrow that money with long-
term low interest loans to start business and subsidize opportunities for other Blacks.

4 The Church need to go out and create special programs to relieve the suffering of Black folk in and
around the Church. Uplift the Black community by using the Resources available.

5 Use the Church to counter all the Racism in Society coming from the right wing church and groups
teaching hatred and Black inferiority in the country. Use the Pulpit to protect your people from White
Racism that’s always been in the Church.

Make note: Religion play a major role in institutionalize of Racism in American Society against Black
folk. Religion has always made it possible for Whites, to justify what they do to Black folk.
