This semester may look different from years past, but that hasn’t stopped students,

faculty and staff from interacting and socializing with their fellow Commodores in new and

meaningful ways amid the COVID-19 pandemic and its necessary safety protocols. Coronavirus

has a lot of significant ways of changed, almost all activities of every individual's life, and It’s

had a profound impact on socialization - how we go about our usual daily communication,

socializing, playing, learning, how we interact with each other and learn to behave in a way that

is acceptable to society which can present both unique opportunities and challenges to instructors

and students which the literature emphasizing the sense of presence and community that all the

students' instructor is critical for encouraging socialization and a sense of community satisfaction

in an online setting(Wallace, 2003). Facilitating effective discussion for a vital pathway to

socialization, whether in a physical classroom or online, for instance word ‘socializing’ has more

than effective evidence to a new figure forms of assessment and analysis development to

consider instead of seemingly passive and monotonous things. However, the “new normal” are

vague and acceptable to some, and simply possible to others a new sense of hope, which would

otherwise be taken for granted. Because the concept of socialization can be used in a number of

ways. But here it, refers to the process by which individual establish connection with others and

adopt the standards and values of society needed for fruitful social interactions (Irwin and Berg

2006;Maccoby,2008)

The researcher aims to point if socialization may affect the academic performance of

some students whether it may be increased or decreased and this will be achieved by putting on a

survey to correspondents in form of questionnaires.

According to Lyndsey Layton (2014) in her article entitled, Socialization technique helps

in academic achievement, trial study finds; A study was conducted; Responsive Classroom
method is an approach to offer understudies some assistance with developing passionate and

social aptitudes additionally prompts scholastic accomplishment, research demonstrates that time

spent supporting kids' social and enthusiastic capacities can be an extremely shrewd venture.

Moreover, with diminishing number of students that has lack of motivation the numbers

The students having motivation thru socialization is widely recognized as the one of the best way

for students to gain motivation in excelling in their academics contrary to depression caused by

poor mental health of some students that may lead to not being studious and lack of effort

towards his responsibility as a student.

This study reports the findings of a thorough research to establish the factors that have

led to the successes of the students at VMUF College of Education and how such success factors
can be applied in students’ realization that motivation is the key through being active in

socialization.
