This project & LI'RR( M)*+M+)T S(ST+M, is targeted towards the management of a
modern library$ ll the boo- details are pro.ided through an Online Public ccess !atalogue .isible
throughout the local intranet$ Proper management and audit of boo-s is possible through an easy to

use interface for the library staff$

Throughout the project the focus has been on presenting information and comments in an
easy and intelligible manner$ The project is targeted to be useful for both the library staff and also the
borrowers$
Modern techni/ues li-e automatic data entry helpers and barcode scanners are used to
minimi0e errors in the system$
Main Modules:%
M+M'+RS1IP M)*+M+)T: To manage the users of the library system2 their categories2
restrictions etc$
'OO3 M)*+M+)T: To manage the boo-s in the issue and also the reference section2 their
classification2 department wise distribution2 single title calculation etc$
S+RIL M)*+M+)T: To manage the periodicals$
4I*ITL !O)T+)T M)*+M+)T: !4 catalogue for serial dis-s2 support dis-s of boo-s and
eboo-s a.ailable in the library$
OP!: This is the most .isible part of the software through which we can search boo-s under
.arious criteria li-e author2 title2 subject2 classification etc$
R+PORTI)*: Se.eral reports in different formats will be prepared and submitted to the
respecti.e authorities$ +.ery user would be able to find out their history and current
