The Dreadful Skinwalkers

One day while scrolling on tiktok I came across a video on tik tok and it was

showing and giving me information about skinwalkers or as I call them, fake

animals . Have you ever seen or come in contact with one? If not, don’t ever

ever come in contact with one, and if you ever

see one mind the business that pays you,

you’ll thank me later . Skinwalkers , also

known as the nasty critters of the deep , will

rip the skin off your body . Some people

believe this is all a folk tale or one of those “ scare you to sleep” stories . But

I completely disagree , skinwalkers walk on this planet as we speak right

now, creeping around killing people that aren't careful enough , eating people

, ripping the skin off random people . You could be walking minding your

business then out of nowhere , you could see a shape shifting , hideous

creature creeping up on you or it could possibly see a skinwalker but looking

like a dog, cat , even a human. Want to know more about a Skinwalker? They

are originally from Navajo culture, and are called a witch or yee naaldlooshii,

which translated in English is “with it, he goes on all four” . In Navajo

culture a skinwalker is considered one of the most volatile and dangerous

witches . For Navajo people , witchcraft is just another part of their

spirituality and what they made a part of their life . Witchcraft has been a

part of their culture for as long as you can remember . In the Navajo culture

in order to become a skinwalker , she or he must give up one of their close

family members or most often their siblings . After this task is completed ,

the specific individual now has supernatural powers , which allows that

person to shapeshift into any animal . They are able to shapeshift to anything

but most often they allow themselves to shapeshift into wolves, foxes ,

cougars, dogs, and bears . They choose what animal they wanna become based on

the task , including strength , claws , and etc . The medicine man is then given

mythical powers of evil, that vary from tradition to tradition, but the power all

traditions mention is the ability to turn into or possess an animal or person. Other

traditions believe a man, woman, or child can become a Skinwalker should they

commit any kind of deep-seated taboo. Some traditions believe that

Skinwalkers are born of a benevolent medicine man who abuses indigenous magic

for evil. During these years, many of the tribe’s members were said to have

turned to shape-shifting to escape the terrible conditions. In the meantime, the

rest of the tribe were convinced that their gods had deserted them.
As I stated recently, skinwalkers have the ability to turn into a human by taking

possession of the human body . Once shapeshifted , one way you would be able to

tell the difference from it being a real person or a skinwalker is their eyes . Their

eyes are different from the original animal or human . Instead , their eyes are very

human , but when you shine a light at them their eyes turn a bright red color . But

when they are shifted into a human their eyes look more like an animal . If a person

locks eyes with a skinwalker , after taking control the witch can make that specific

person do things you wouldn’t do on their own . But let’s transfer to the real world

, skinwalkers now-a-days , most often are disguised as humans , to lure humans in .

So , if you ever were to run into a skinwalker or a navajo witch , RUN as fast as

you can .
