L ouis Tepes Sr., 75, of Coplay, died Thursday in Lehigh Valley

Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Margaret
(Stranzl) Tepes. They were married 48 years last May.

A builder and a developer, he owned the Tepes Construction Co.,

Northampton, from 1951 to 1979. He developed the Coplay Parkway West;
Cherryville Heights in Northampton, and the Oak Dale Manor in Lehigh
Township.

Born in Hum, Sutli, Yugoslavia, he was a son of the late Michael and
Barbara (Tepes) Tepes.

He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Coplay.

Tepes was a past president of the Coplay Rotary Club and a Paul Harris
fellow in Rotary International. He was past vice-president of the Lehigh
Valley Home Builders Association.

He was a former borough councilman; a former Coplay Library board

member; and a member of the Allen Township planning commission.

Survivors: Wife; sons, Louis Jr. of Northampton and Charles F. of Lehigh
Township; sisters, Anna Cucek and Matilda, wife of Stephen Cerovski, both
of Zagreb, Yugoslavia, and two grandsons. He was predeceased by a son,
Joseph.

Services: 9:30 a.m. Monday, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 4th and
Chestnut streets, Coplay; Mass at 10 a.m. in the church. Call 7-8:30 p.m.
Sunday.
