THE ENTREPRENEURIAL MIND

(DESIGN THINKING)

1.What was Suresh Jayakar's project/idea?

Suresh Jayakar says that whilst we grow up being taught to think convergently,

design thinking encourages us to think divergently. It teaches us to look at the

big picture. In his talk Suresh explains the underpinning principles of design

thinking and how they make it such a powerful tool.

2.Do you think Jayakar's idea is feasible here in the Philippines? Specifically, in
provinces? Why?

For me, yes, it is feasible, but it is not necessary because they have easy
access to fresh farm fruits and vegetables in the province areas of the
Philippines because the idea of the product truck or Jayakar is simply to sell or
make it easier for other people to get fresh fruits and vegetables, but the
province areas of the Philippines already have easy access to those things.
3. With Suresh Jayakar's idea, how did design thinking solve life's problems?

Design Thinking is best suited to solving problems where multiple spheres

collide, logic and emotion, rational and creative, human needs, and economic
demands, and between systems and people, at the intersection of business and
society. We would most likely not need Design Thinking to address big issues,
which are simple and have fixed and known solutions, unless we were looking
for a novel or innovative way to solve the problem with a desired goal other than
the typical solutions available.
