Conditional sentences

Zero conditional:

Present - present

We are using zero type for general facts.

First conditional:

‫ احتمال واقعی در آینده‬:‫شرطی نوع اول‬

This is talks about present situation and future result.

If I have a money, I will go on a holiday.

Second conditional:

‫ وضعیت خیالی یا آینده غیر محتمل‬:‫شرطی نوع دوم‬

It shows imagination and unreal thing so I need to show it in my sentence

and because of that I am using past tense because I need to show that this

is not real and is not reflecting reality and also my result is not real and

there is no chance to do this.

The first sentence is speaking about present but because we are talking

about unreal thing ,so we need to reflect it to past form and also our

second sentence should be written in would + base of verb .at the moment

there is no possibility for that.

If I had money, I would go on a holiday. (But I don’t have money)

Third conditional:

‫ تصورات گذشته‬:‫شرطی نوع سوم‬

We are talking about unreal things but what kind of unreal thing? Past

unreal thing.

We need to write first sentence in past perfect, because it is past form and

because of unreality we need to write it one tense past again, so we have

past perfect for first sentence now. And the second part would have + pp.

If I had had money, I would have gone on a holiday. (But I didn’t have

money)
