Utility Bill Pay

Any IBBL Customer registered in IBBL iBanking can avail the BillPay service for bills
payment of PDB (Chittagong, Sylhet, Rangpur, Dinajpur), DPDC (Dhaka), DESCO (Dhaka),
TITAS (Dhaka, Comilla & Mymensingh), BGSL (Chittagong & Comilla), KGDCL (Chittagong),
JGSL (Sylhet) &CWASA (Chittagong).

Company wise necessary information for BillPay

1. Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB)

Need to Know:

Company Code BPDB or bpdb

Utility Account Number 8 digits “Consumer No.” on the top right side of the bill copy
Bill Number 7 digits “Bill No.” & 2 digits “CD No.”
Bill Amount “Amount to be paid” mentioned on the bill copy.
Due Date “Last Pmnt Date” mentioned on the top right side of the bill
copy. After due date customer won‟t be allowed to pay bill.
Special Note Customer can‟t pay fraction bill. Customer has to pay the exact
bill amount.

2. Dhaka Power Distribution Company Ltd. (DPDC)

Need to Know:

Company Code DPDC or dpdc

Utility Account Number 8 digits “Consumer No.” on the top right side of the bill copy
Bill Number Location 2 digits (If Location Code is in „A1/51’
format, provide last two digits)
Bill No 7 digits
CD 2 digits
Bill Amount “Amount to be paid” mentioned on the bill copy.
Due Date “Last Pay Date” mentioned on the top right side of the bill copy.
After due date customer can pay bill for 5 more days but surcharge
will be applicable in the next month.
Special Note Customer can‟t pay fraction bill. Customer has to pay the exact
bill amount.

3. Dhaka Electric Supply Company Ltd. (DESCO)

Need to Know:

Company Code DSCO or dsco

Utility Account Number “Account No.” mentioned in the 4th line on the top right side of
the bill copy
Bill Number 1st 4 digits of “Bill No.” mentioned on the left side of the bill
copy; 2nd line after name & address.
Bill Amount On or before due date: “Total Bill” mentioned on the bottom right
side of bill copy.

After due date: “Total if paid after due date”

Due Date “Due Date” mentioned on the top left side of the bill copy. 3rd line
after name & address.
Special Note Customer can‟t pay fraction bill. Customer has to pay the exact
bill amount.

Customer can pay the bill after due date but amount will be “Total
if paid after due date”

4. TITAS Gas Transmission & Distribution Company Ltd.

Need to Know:

Company Code TTAS or ttas

Utility Account Number Domestic or Non-metered customer: “Grahok Sonket
Number” mentioned on the bill book. This number may have “- or
/” sign. These signs are mandatory to type while paying the bill.
Example: 1276997/1-4

Metered or Commercial customer: 14 digits “Cust number”

mentioned on the left side of bill copy.
Example: 1-77-001464-00-90-5; while paying the bill “-“ are not
required.

Bill Number Domestic or Non-metered customer: To pay a single month‟s

bill the bill number will be the combination of month & year.
Example: To pay May 2011 bill the bill number will be “0511”.

A customer can also pay bills of consecutive months. For that, the
bill number will be first month with year & last month with year.
Example: To pay bills from May 2010 to June 2011 the bill
number will be “05100611”

Metered or Commercial customer: Nine digits “Invoice

Number” mentioned on the top left of the bill copy. “-“ is not
required.
Bill Amount Domestic or Non-metered customer: Fixed amount decided by
TITAS Gas. The amount will be without surcharge.

Metered or Commercial customer: Amount mentioned on the

bill copy.
Surcharge Domestic or Non-metered customer: For each burner TK. 10 for
first six month. After that TK. 15 for the rest of the months.

Metered or Commercial customer: Amount will be zero (0) as

TITAS Gas includes the surcharge amount with the total amount.
Due Date Domestic or Non-metered customer: 21st of next month.

Metered or Commercial customer: Date mentioned on the bill

copy.
Special Note Customer can‟t pay fraction bill. Customer has to pay total bill of
a single month.

Customer can pay the bill after due date but surcharge will be
applicable.
5. Bakhrabad Gas Systems Limited (BGSL)

Need to Know:

Company Code BGSL or bgsl

Utility Account Number “Grahok Sonket Number” written on the bill book is Customer
code. Example: 2-D-23-13674; 15-D-269.
There are two portions in the Grahok Sonket Number, the Blue
part is Area Code and the Green part is serial number under that
Area. The serial number must be of 5 digits. In some cases
customer may have serial number of 3 (15-D-269) digit; in that
case it should be filled up with zero (0). Correct no will be 15-D-
00269. But customer has to use BGSL ID to pay bill through
BillPay.

BGSL ID is the computer generated unique 12 digits ID against

each grahok sonket number provided by BGSL.
Example: 1012110187639.
Bill Number Bill number will be the combination of month & year. Bill number
for May 2011 will be “0511”.
Bill Amount Fixed amount decided by BGSL. Surcharge (if applicable) will be
included with total amount.

Surcharge: TK. 10 per double or single burner per month.

Due Date Customer can pay bills of current month & last month within 21st
of each month.
Special Note Customer can‟t pay fraction bill. Customer has to pay the exact
bill amount.

Customer has to use the BGSL ID for BillPay related services.

BGSL ID
Customer/Retailer can collect his BGSL ID in two ways. They can call 1200 & tell their
grahok sonket number to collect the BGSL ID or they can send SMS to 1200. In reply SMS,
the customer will get the corresponding 12 digit BGSL ID and customer name.

6. Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited (KGDCL)

Need to Know:

Company Code KGDCL or kgdcl

Utility Account Number “Grahok Sonket Number” written on the bill book is Customer
code. Example: 2-D-23-13674; 15-D-269.
There are two portions in the Grahok Sonket Number, the Blue

7. Jalalabad Gas Transmission & Distribution System Limited (JGSL)

Need to Know:

Company Code JGSL or jgsl

Utility Account Number Non-metered domestic customer: 9 digits “Grahok Sonket
Number” mentioned on the bill book.
05 – indicates area Example: 030100348

01 – indicates customer type Metered domestic customer: 9 digits “Customer ID No”

mentioned on the printed bill copy.
03768 – indicates customer Example: 031002645
serial number.
Metered commercial customer: 9 digits “Customer ID No”
mentioned on the printed bill copy.
Example: 030200732
Bill Number Bill number will be the combination of month & year. Bill number
for May 2011 will be “0511”.
Bill Amount Non-metered domestic customer: Fixed amount decided by
JGSL.

Metered domestic customer: Printed amount on the bill copy.

Metered commercial customer: Printed amount on the bill copy.

Due Date Non-metered domestic customer: Customer can pay bills of
current month & last month within 21st of each month.

Metered domestic customer: Printed amount on the bill copy.

Metered commercial customer: Printed amount on the bill copy.

8. Chittagong Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (CWASA)

Need to Know:

Company Code CWSA or cwsa

Utility Account Number 6 digits “A/C No.” mentioned on the bill copy.
Example: 040723. First 2 digits indicate location.
Bill Number 10 digits “Bill No.” mentioned on the bill copy
Bill Amount “Net Payable” mentioned on the bill copy
Due Date “Due Date of Payment” mentioned on the bill copy.
Special Note Customer can‟t pay fraction bill. Customer has to pay the exact
bill amount.

9. West Zone Power Distribution Company Ltd (WZPDCL).:

Need to Know:

Company Code CWSA or cwsa

Utility Account Number 9 digits “A/C No.” mentioned on the bill copy.

Example: 040723. First 2 digits indicate location.

Bill Number 13 digits “Bill No.” mentioned on the bill copy

Bill Amount “Net Payable” mentioned on the bill copy

Due Date “Due Date of Payment” mentioned on the bill copy.

Special Note Customer has to pay bill within due date. Customer can‟t pay
fraction bill. Customer has to pay the exact bill amount.

If any customer do not pay bill within due date, his/her pending
bill plus Surcharge will be added with next month Bill Copy

10. Khulna WASA (KWASA):

Need to Know:

Company Code CWSA or cwsa

Utility Account Number 5 digits “A/C No.” mentioned on the bill copy.

Example: 040723. First 2 digits indicate location.

Bill Number Bill number will be the combination of month & year. Bill number
for May 2017 will be “0517”.

Bill Amount “Net Payable” mentioned on the bill copy

Due Date “Due Date of Payment” mentioned on the bill copy.

Special Note Customer can‟t pay fraction bill. Customer has to pay the exact
bill amount.

Customer can pay after the due date. Surcharge will be applicable
according to the bill copy.
