• Brochure is a booklet or pamphlet


contains descriptive information
or advertising.
• Are primary marketing tools created
with aim of selling a product or service.
• Have one of the most flexible formats of
all publication and come in all manner of
shapes & sizes.
Like all other forms of advertising and
promotional literature, designers seek
answers to the following questions while
designing a brochure:
• Who is the piece going to and what are their
characteristics?
• What is the piece trying to accomplish?
• What are the essentials pieces of information to be
included?
• Why should the recipient be interested?
• When will it be executed?
• When and how will it be distributed?

• Are you persuading or informing?
• How will your audience be using your brochure?
Designed to be read and discarded? Or to be saved or
even posted for reference?

elsewhere in the package.
• Stand alone: need to be fairly
complete.

Length
• Succinctness is an art.
