I. INTRODUCTION

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a new idea, one in which the corporate sector
incorporates social and environmental concerns in its strategies and plays a more
responsible role in the world. Project managers have the ability to introduce CSR in their
work and promote social good within the firm.

Being a socially responsible company can bolster a company's image and build its
brand. Social responsibility empowers employees to leverage the corporate resources at
their disposal to do good. Formal corporate social responsibility programs can boost
employee morale and lead to greater productivity in the workforce.

We are tasked to interview a business that can help us know what are the importance
of Corporate Social Responsibility. The CSR is defined as the ethical role of the
corporation in the society it means that CSR encourage the company to have a positive
impact on the society. In the video that we made you can see that we are ensuring how
good their products are in the society and with the help of CSR strategies we can see the
efficiency of their product in the society.

II. NARRATION OF PROGRESS

As we conduct the interview, at first it was hard to find entrepreneurs who own a
business because of the pandemic that is happening all over the world. As a student we
want to ensure the safety of each one of us and also the entrepreneur who will be part of
this process.

The first thing we do is we formulate questions that is connected to the topic given or
discussed by Mr. Ramos. After having a right amount of questions, we find the right
person who will answer the questions being asked by the student. We reached out to her
so that we will know if it is ok to talked with her regarding to her business and what are
the things, she did to ensure the safety of her customer. One by one process to make
sure that we follow the health and safety protocols. The entrepreneur is from San Jose
Del Monte Bulacan near to our group mates house, she’s a young entrepreneur who
have a three business on front of their house. Her first business is a rice dealing business
the second one is the loading station or money remittance and the last one is the pet
food and supplies. We use different ways to get her answers so that we will be able to
create answer for our paperwork’s.
III. PRESENTATION OF FINDINGS

We interviewed a 32-year-old businesswoman named Arcie San Pedro. She owns a

rice mill, mobile load, and dog accessories business located in their subdivision at
Bulacan. We chose her to be our interviewee because it is more convenient to ask
someone who we already know and is more accessible to reach out.

She sells basic necessities for a living so when asked about the advantages her
products offer to the customers, she was poised to answer that her products will always
give advantages to the customers because people need them for survival. She also feels
confident about her products because of the same reason. She knows people will keep
on buying in her store because first, rice is a staple in every meal here in our country.
Second, mobile load is needed whether it is for work, or online classes. We need the
things she sells because they are essential in sustaining life. These questions agree to
the responsibility to good.

She makes sure that her products are safe for everyone by ensuring that they are
clean and new or isn’t going to rot soon. Rice is bought by everyone every day, so what
she sells is going to be bought before it even become husked. We asked this because it
correlates to the social responsibility of responsibility to prevent harm.

In some stores we experienced, there were sellers that has an attitude when selling
so we asked how she comes up with a good mood when selling. She told us that she
makes sure that she enjoys what she’s doing and she treats her customers as her
friends. It can be seen by the way she participated in our interview that she keeps a good
relationship with her buyers. This question applies to the duty not to cause harm social
responsibility.

IV. ANALYZATION

Nowadays, a lot of businesses should be more responsible in their environment, and

manage their business processes to produce a positive impact on our society like Mrs.
San Pedro have a small business in their community a sari-sari store is a small-time
business that is available to anybody with a small or big capital. But since it was the
man’s primary needs is involved, this kind of business is much demanding and will surely
support by most people particularly a family that is unable to buy expensive one. Mrs.
San Pedro products and services have higher prices when compared to supermarkets
but provides several benefits to their customers and their store provides easy access to
basic commodities at low cost. They make sure that their products are safe by
maintaining it clean and new. Also, when selling Mrs. San Pedro is always maintaining
her good mood because when consumers are in a good mood, they tend to be more
generous. One clear way in which their generosity is expressed is through their wallets
and consumers are better able to see similarities as well as differences among products.

V. CONCLUSION

Nowadays, it is important that the businesses are meeting the responsibilities of

having it. It is clear, that there are three social responsibilities that are described in three
levels based on how demanding the responsibility is, such as, the duty not to cause
harm, the responsibility to prevent the harm, and the responsibility to do good.

Organizations are no longer assessed based only on traditional metrics such as

financial performance, or even the quality of their products or services. They can be
easily judged, their impact on society at large are transforming them from business
enterprises into social enterprises. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to
initiatives take up by companies to give back to society. The Financial Times defines it as
“a business approach that contributes to sustainable development by delivering
economic, social, and environment benefits for all stakeholders. Moreover, a study shows
that only 18 percent of organizations put social responsibility as a top priority, yet 77
percent say it’s “important”.

Based on how we can able to get the objective of the interview, we provide questions
that is connected to the three social responsibilities. Furthermore, based on results of the
interview, we conclude that every business has a duty to give a safety and clean products
that satisfies the customers. In addition, having a safe and clean product can bolster a
business image and build its trust to the customers. We also conclude that, as a
business, it is a responsibility to prevent or avoid unnecessary things that may occur in
the organization such as to prevent race discrimination, and all other forms of
discrimination prohibited by law. Moreover, “discriminating someone based on their status
is not ethically right”.
