Gen Z may have already declared that they are Y2K fashion and beauty's biggest stans, but a

member of Generation X, Halle Berry, showed everyone she's also a big fan of the early
aughts at the 2021 People's Choice Awards.

Exhibit A: her hair. Hairstylist Sara Seward swept her bangs to the side, similar to how The
Simple Life star Paris Hilton wore hers religiously in the early 2000s. The ode to Y2K hair
continued to the back, where Seward tied Berry's hair into a beautiful, messy updo. Seward
shared on her Instagram stories that the whole hairstyle was created using products from
Oribe and Leonor Greyl.

Exhibit B: the tracksuit. In a decade where glitter and sparkles were all the rage, Berry and
her stylist, Lindsay Flores, couldn't have picked a better outfit that screamed Y2K.

Last but not least: the eye makeup. No Y2K makeup beat isn't complete without glitter.
