Description: An invoice is a type of document that is time-stamped that itemizes and
records a transaction between a buyer and a seller. It is a paper receipt or an online record
from the store.
The use of invoice documents are the following: Business accounting relies on invoices
as a source document. Invoices are useful for keeping track of all the sales transactions a
company has with its customers. Businesses utilize invoices for a number of purposes,
including To request timely payment from clients, To keep track of sales, To track inventory,
for businesses selling products, To forecast future sales using historical data, and To record
business revenue for tax filings.
Official receipt
Description: Official receipt is an official document that provides evidence that a sale
transaction relating to a service has taken place.
The use of official receipt are the following: Official receipt is issued by the seller
to the buyer as written evidence on sale of services or leasing of properties, as well as
acknowledgement on collection of cash payment on services rendered. It serves as basis of
the output tax liability of the seller and input tax claim of the buyer.
